Here's one of my favorite moments from our trip up the coast to see the Redwoods. (Kim's idea) It was really a very nice day with lots of sunshine. The thing about being in the redwood forest is that underneath the canopy very little light gets through, so much of the time we were walking in the dark, damp cold. But we had a BLAST!

THE! Drive-Thru tree

You can clearly see David and Kim - Mom is slightly obscured behind the windshield in the car (her new KIA Sportica). There is actually more than one drive-thru tree up along Hwy 101, but this is the one I remember going through as a child, and the one Melody and I drove through on our honeymoon. That was over 29 years ago.

Vanilla Ice anyone?

I found this great video of Pam and Kim doing their "Ice Baby" routine over at the beach back in 2001. It's one of the classics from our family beach trips. We're at Bodega Dunes Campground. It's the same trip where the "showers are free today." David is holding the camera and Mom and Michelle are in the background holding their tongues.
