Taking a 4X4 out for a drive, if you know what I mean.

David is home for a short visit between school and work. It's really fun to have him here. He surprised us by showing up Sunday night (after I had hit the hay) instead of Monday night. That worked out great because the first order of business this evening was to go to In-N-Out, and it was only natural to start our Family Home Evening that way.

Davey & I had 4X4's and Mom had her usual regular hamburger & fries. We all had milk shakes to wash it down. Below is a visual log of the experience. (Why is it that mine is the only one that looks bigger than the burger?)

I have to add, that on our way back from the cruise we had big plans of stopping at In-N-Out. The week before I had seen a sign in St. George for the next best thing to Heaven itself and thought, "Hooray!!! In-N-Out is getting closer to us!" So, from LA to St. G I think we must have passed 37 In-N-Outs because we were gonna get a burger closer to dinner time and our destination. Upon arrival we found the parking lot to be empty...that NEVER happens! Something had to be wrong. It was about that time that we saw the "Now Hiring/Opening Soon" sign and cursed loudly as we thought back to all those delicious hamburgers we had carelessly passed up! The moral of the story...if you want In-N-Out and you aren't in Southern California, stop at the FIRST ONE YOU SEE!!!! There might not be another opportunity. Hope you enjoyed those burgers for us!!!!!

Sometimes Callie and I will be in the car and say, 'It is only 6 hours to an In-n-Out'
