A Day at the Bay

Mom and I took the day off Friday and went to San Francisco. It was a beautiful! A bright sunshiny day and about as warm as it ever gets in S.F. We had fun walking around Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf. Our visit to the Ghirardelli Chocolate factory was highlighted by two mugs of "drinkable chocolate" with biscotti. MAN ALIVE! This was NOT cocoa. . . it was literally chocolate melted and made fluid enough to drink.

One of the things we thought looked fun for us (or any of you who might be visiting) to do in the future is a bike tour from Pier 39, across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausilito - then take a ferry back to the pier. The bikes are $8 an hour - if you buy a day pass you even get the ferry ride free.

;;;;;;;;

We also did a couple of walking tours around the ships docked at the piers. For lunch we had clam chowder in a sourdough bowl. Yummm!

To wrap it all up we drove over the bay bridge and went to the Oakland Temple for old times sake. It was one of the best trips to a temple we ever done. A beautiful day.
