These California Golden Poppies (the official state flower of California) were a present from me to Mom for her birthday, Well okay, I bought them because I've always wanted some, but Mom is the gardener here. The bottom photo is of one of her irises. Beautiful.

No talent here. I just like playing in the dirt and watching things grow. Mostly it is good weather conditions. We all know who the REAL Gardener is here!!
All of these posts are making me wish we were back there again - going to check out historic gold sites, then heading over to your house for a cookout.
